私が金継ぎを始めたきっかけは、日本人として日本の伝統文化を学んでみたいという気持ちからでした。金継ぎは割れた器などを金粉を使って直す技法で海外でも注目されている日本の古くからの修復技法です。壊れてしまった物を修復し唯一無二の物を創造することは私にとって特別な魅力を感じさせるものです。

I started kintsugi because I wanted to learn about traditional Japanese culture as a Japanese person. Kintsugi is an ancient Japanese restoration technique that uses gold powder to repair broken vessels and is attracting attention overseas. The process of restoring broken objects and creating unique objects is something that holds a special fascination for me.
